Three Named as Outstanding Women of Vision


Winners announced at July 19th Gala


 LOVELAND, CO -JULY 24, 2017

At the Women of Vision Gala on Wednesday, July 19th, three Honorees were singled out as having taken their “vision” to a whole higher level:



2017 Woman of Courage Award:
“X” – Child Liaison, Twin Peaks Chapter of B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse)

In keeping with the B.A.C.A. tradition, we honor this woman only by her “road name.”


The award was presented by past Woman of Courage Winners Linda Wheeler Holloway and LeAnn Thieman.

2017 Woman of Inspiration

Heidi Olinger, inventor, entrepreneur and author of Fashionable Mashed:  The STEM of Fashion Design and Founder & CEO of Pretty Brainy, a  nonprofit organization/social enterprise.


The award was presented by past Woman of Inspiration Winners, Dixie Daly and Tami K. Spaulding.


2017 Dr. Joan King International Woman of Vision

2017 Dr. Joan King International Woman of Vision Award 
Binh Rybacki, Founder of Children of Peace International, a non-profit which sponsors orphanages, medical missions and projects to help families and build communities in Vietnam.


The award was presented by Dr. Ada Chen (past winner), Dr. Stuart Tobet (life partner and scientific collaborator for 36 years with the late Dr. King) and Sabrina Richardson (representing Cornerstone Home Lending).


Recipient of the Joan C. King-Tobet Memorial Scholarship Endowment at CSU
Biomedical Science Student Savannah Sandvick was awarded one of two Joan C. King-Tobet Memorial Scholarship Endowments.  The scholarship was presented by Dr. Stuart Tobet (not pictured), Biomedical Sciences Student Advisor Kelly Swetich (left) and Biomedical Engineering Student Advisor Brett Eppich Beal (right)
